Former Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia has got a setback from the Delhi High Court in the Delhi Liquor Scam case. The Delhi High Court refused to grant bail to Manish Sisodia on Tuesday. The CBI is probing the matter. Manish Sisodia's bail plea on Monday in the ED investigation case also got disappointment from the High Court. Now the door of the Supreme Court is open for Manish Sisodia to get bail. Now Manish Sisodia can file a bail petition in the Supreme Court. While hearing the bail plea, the Delhi High Court said that the allegations against Manish Sisodia are very serious. The possibility of influencing the witnesses on the grant of bail cannot be ruled out. During this, his behavior was also not right.
Hearing the bail plea, Justice Dinesh Kumar Sharma of the Delhi High Court refused to grant bail to AAP leader Manish Sisodia saying that the allegations against him were very serious in nature. Sisodia is an influential person and the possibility of witnesses being influenced if he is released on bail cannot be ruled out.
The trial court's decision in the Bell case was challenged by Manish Sisodia in the Delhi High Court. During the hearing in the High Court, the CBI opposed Manish Sisodia's bail plea. After which the High Court had reserved the decision in this matter on 11 May.
Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22 has been canceled. After several rounds of talks with Manish Sisodia in this matter, the CBI arrested him. The March 31 order of the lower court was challenged by Sisodia in the High Court.
The lower court, while rejecting Manish Sisodia's bail plea, had said that Sisodia was prima facie the mastermind of the criminal conspiracy in the case. And he played the most important and leading role in the criminal conspiracy related to the alleged payment of advance bribes of about Rs.90-100 crores to his associates while in the Delhi Government. Sisodia is also in custody in a money laundering case related to this case.
Manish Sisodia will go to Supreme Court against this decision of the Delhi High Court. On behalf of AAP, it was said that a bail application will be filed in the Supreme Court against the decision of Justice Dinesh Kumar Sharma.
