Shailesh Lodha, aka Taarak Mehta, Wins a ₹1CR lawsuit
Shailesh Lodha, also known as Taarak Mehta, has won a case against Asit Kumar Modi, the creator of the TV show "Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.

Shailesh Lodha, also known as Taarak Mehta, has won a case against Asit Kumar Modi, the creator of the TV show "Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah." Lodha had left the show in April 2022 and claimed he hadn't been paid.
Recently, a decision was made in May this year, stating that Asit Kumar Modi has to pay Shailesh Lodha Rs 1 crore, which will be given through a demand draft. The issue was resolved in a virtual hearing between Lodha and Modi.
Shailesh Lodha said, "I'm happy that the truth has come out. This wasn't about money, but about justice and respect." As of now, there's no official response from Asit Kumar Modi's team.
In May this year, Shailesh Lodha had complained that he wasn't paid for his work on the show. He sought legal help and claimed that Modi owed him money.
Sohil Ramani, the project head of the show, said they never denied Lodha's payment. They asked him to sign paperwork to receive his remaining payment. Shailesh Lodha used to play the role of Taarak Mehta on the show, but he left in April 2022 and was replaced by Sachin Shroff.
