Sonipat, Haryana - March 2025: The Harsh Chhikara Jan Sewa Trust, led by philanthropist and social activist Harsh Chhikara, has reached a remarkable milestone by providing over 50 crore rupees in cash assistance to communities across India. This achievement highlights the trust's ongoing dedication to uplifting the underprivileged and fostering social change, a mission that began in 2012 and continues to thrive today.

The trust, fueled by Harsh Chhikara’s vision and the tireless efforts of his team, has made a profound impact through its extensive financial aid programs. This assistance has been a lifeline for countless individuals and families, addressing critical needs such as:

  • Settling Over 3,500 Families: Supporting poor households with no source of income to rebuild their lives.
  • Weddings for 1,000+ Girls: Arranging marriages for poor, orphaned, and needy girls, ensuring their dignity and security.
  • Aid to Martyrs’ Families: Extending financial help to thousands of families of fallen heroes.
  • Winter Relief: Distributing over 75,000 blankets to protect the vulnerable from harsh winters.

What sets the trust apart is its robust grassroots presence. With over 70,000 active team members in Rajasthan and more than 50,000 in Haryana, the organization operates at the ground level to deliver aid where it’s needed most. Harsh Chhikara’s influence also extends online, with over 2,500 active social media accounts under his name, reaching millions of followers and amplifying the trust’s message of compassion and action.

The trust’s efforts have evolved over the years, adapting to the nation’s most pressing challenges. During the COVID-19 pandemic, it provided food, medicines, and essentials to over 5 lakh people nationwide. It pioneered the door-to-door distribution of lakhs of masks and sanitary pads in North India, distributed over 1,500 oxygen cylinders and concentrators during the oxygen crisis, and secured hospital beds for more than 1,000 patients. These initiatives showcased the trust’s ability to respond swiftly and effectively in times of crisis.

Beyond emergency relief, the trust has championed social justice and awareness. Harsh Chhikara has led movements such as the justice campaign for the Tappal case in Uttar Pradesh, protests to enact the POCSO law, and a bold shutdown of 40 major cities—including a 4-hour closure of Karnal—following the Pulwama attack. Environmental efforts include a massive protest at Jantar Mantar with Sant Gopal Das Ji for the Ganga river’s cleanup, where over 3,500 supporters wrote letters in blood to urge government action.

The trust also nurtures talent and well-being. It has adopted over 250 athletes, providing financial support to fuel their dreams, and distributed first prizes in more than 600 sports competitions. Free Ayurvedic medical camps are held every Sunday, offering consultations and medicines to the elderly, poor, and helpless through Baba Ji Ki Booty company.

Harsh Chhikara’s journey is rooted in personal resilience. Raised in Ladrawan village, Jhajjar district, Haryana, he overcame early hardships, including losing his mother at age seven. “This work is about giving every person a chance at dignity and hope,” he reflects. “The 50 crore rupees represent lives transformed, and with our volunteers’ support, we’ll keep pushing forward.”

As the Harsh Chhikara Jan Sewa Trust looks ahead, it remains committed to expanding its reach and impact, continuing its legacy of service and empowerment across India.
