A new video has surfaced online that shows the all-new Hyundai Kona EV in the wild, minus any camouflage. The video, which was posted on YouTube, shows the Kona EV rolling down a Southern California highway.
The new Kona EV features a significantly revamped design compared to the outgoing model. It gets a more aggressive front fascia with a larger grille and sharper headlights. The side profile is also more sculpted, with body-colored trim over the wheel arches. The rear end gets a new bumper and taillights that are now connected by a light bar.
The new Kona EV will be available with two battery options: a 48.6 kWh battery pack that offers a range of 317 km on a single charge, and a larger 64.8 kWh battery pack that offers an estimated range of 418 km on a single charge.
The new Kona EV is expected to go on sale in the United States in early 2023. Pricing has not yet been announced, but it is expected to start at around $35,000.
In addition to the new design, the Kona EV also gets a number of new features, including a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and a wireless charging pad.
