Venkatesh Prasad on Team India: Former India fast bowler Venkatesh Prasad has made a scathing attack on the Indian team after the defeat in the second ODI against the West Indies. Prasad claimed that the Indian team has been an ordinary team. Especially in a limited overs format.

The tour of the West Indies is considered very important for India in the preparations for the ICC ODI World Cup 2023. But, Team India had to face defeat at the hands of the Caribbean team which did not qualify for the World Cup in the second ODI itself. Former India fast bowler Venkatesh Prasad has made a scathing attack on the Indian team after this defeat.
Questions are being raised about the Indian team due to the defeat at the hands of Australia in the finals of Asia Cup 2022, ICC T20 World Cup 2022, and then ICC WTC 2023. At the same time, now everyone is saddened by the crushing defeat against a weak team like the West Indies. Meanwhile, former cricketer Venkatesh Prasad claimed that the Indian team has been an ordinary team. Especially in a limited overs format.
Prasad said that apart from Test cricket, the Indian team has been very mediocre in both the other formats for some time now. The ODI series against South Africa and Australia were lost. There was a poor performance in the last two T20 World Cups as well. He said that even after money and power, we have become used to mediocre performance and are far away from champion teams. While every team plays to win, so does Team India, but, their approach and attitude are a factor in their poor performance over time.
Both teams are currently tied at 1-1 in the three-match ODI series against the West Indies. India had defeated West Indies by five wickets in the first ODI and in the second ODI, India had to face defeat by 6 wickets at the hands of the host team. Now all eyes are on the third and last ODI.
