Reason for not selecting Sarfaraz Khan for Team India came to the fore
Sarfaraz Khan News: Many veterans like former cricketer Sunil Gavaskar have criticized the BCCI for not including Sarfaraz in the Test team selected for the West Indies tour. At the same time, a BCCI official has made a shocking disclosure on Sarfaraz Khan not being selected.

The BCCI selectors have once again not given a chance to Sarfaraz Khan, who has performed well in domestic cricket, in Team India. Many veterans like former cricketer Sunil Gavaskar criticized the BCCI for not including Sarfaraz in the Test team selected for the West Indies tour. At the same time, a BCCI official has made a shocking disclosure on Sarfaraz Khan not being selected. He has told why the selectors of Team India are repeatedly ignoring Sarfaraz. He also told that the reason for not selecting Sarfaraz is not only cricket, there are many reasons why he is not getting selected.
A BCCI official associated with the selection committee of the Indian team told on the condition of confidentiality that the reason for Sarfaraz being repeatedly ignored is not only cricket but there are many such reasons, due to which he is not being selected. Adhikari asked those who raised questions whether the selectors were mindless to ignore a player who scored more than 900 runs in two seasons. The main reason for not being selected for the team is that Sarfaraz's fitness is not of international standard.
The BCCI official told that Sarfaraz will have to work very hard. He can come back with good fitness by reducing his weight. He said that batting fitness is not the only criterion for selection. He has not been able to meet the criteria of discipline on and off the field with fitness. Some words and expressions of Sarfaraz have not been right from the point of view of discipline. He hoped that Sarfaraz and his father and coach Naushad Khan would work on these aspects.
In fact, after scoring a century in the Ranji match against Delhi this year, Sarfaraz Khan celebrated aggressively, which left the selectors infuriated. During that time the then Chief Selector Chetan Sharma was present in the stadium itself. Earlier, he had angered Madhya Pradesh coach and former Mumbai player Chandrakant Pandit with his conduct in the final of Ranji Trophy 2022.
In the last three seasons of the Ranji Trophy, right-handed batsman Sarfaraz Khan has scored 2566 runs. He has scored runs in 37 matches of his first-class career at an average of 79.65. For this reason, questions are being raised about Sarfaraz Khan, who represented India twice in the Under-19 World Cup, not being given a chance in Team India. Rituraj Gaikwad has been selected in Team India, who scored just 42 runs in the first class.
