MG Motor India has launched the Gloster Blackstorm edition at Rs 40.29 lakh. The new variant is essentially a cosmetic update to the existing Gloster and gets a number of sporty and aggressive styling elements.

On the outside, the Gloster Blackstorm gets a new front grille with a black finish, black fog lamp housings, black side cladding, and a black rear bumper. The SUV also gets new 18-inch alloy wheels with a black finish.

Inside, the Gloster Blackstorm gets a black-themed cabin with red accents on the seats, steering wheel, and dashboard. The SUV also gets a new 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.

The Gloster Blackstorm is powered by the same 2.0-liter turbocharged diesel engine that produces 218PS and 480Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission and is available in both 2WD and 4WD configurations.

The Gloster Blackstorm comes loaded with safety features, including 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, hill hold control, hill descent control, and a 360-degree camera.

The Gloster Blackstorm is priced at a premium of Rs 1.5 lakh over the top-end Gloster Super variant. It will be available in a single color option, which is Stealth Black.
