FIR against Bajrang Punia, Sakshi and Vinesh, case registered under these sections including inciting riots
Delhi Police said a case has been registered against wrestlers Bajrang Punia, Sakshi Malik, Vinesh Phogat, and other organizers. A case has been registered against all of them under IPC Section- 147, 149, 186, 188, 332, 353, Section 3 of the PDPP Act.

The Delhi Police has registered a case against Indian wrestlers protesting against Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) President and BJP leader Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh at Jantar Mantar in the country's capital Delhi. Delhi Police has registered an FIR against Tokyo Olympics bronze medalists Bajrang Punia, and Olympic medalists Sakshi Malik and Vinesh Phogat under various sections including rioting.
Delhi Police said a case has been registered against wrestlers Bajrang Punia, Sakshi Malik, Vinesh Phogat, and other organizers. Some wrestlers had come to Jantar Mantar late in the night but were not allowed and sent back. All of them have been booked under Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections- 149 (unlawful assembly), 352 (assaulting any person except on grave and sudden provocation), 353 (assault to intimidate public servant), 147 (committing nuisance Guilty), a case has been registered under 188 (Epidemic Act) and 186 (obstructing a public servant from duty).
Reacting to the FIR, Vinesh Phogat said that a new history is being written. Phogat wrote on her Twitter page, "Delhi Police took 7 days to register an FIR against Brij Bhushan who sexually assaulted us and did not even take 7 hours to register an FIR against us for protesting peacefully. During the inauguration of the Parliament House on Sunday, the wrestlers announced Mahila Mahapanchayat. On Sunday, when the wrestlers were taking out a march, during this time the police had taken strict action, as well as removed the tents, etc. of the wrestlers from the protest site. The wrestlers were detained by the Delhi Police and taken to three different police stations in the city to prevent any contact between the three.
Sakshi Malik revealed that she was taken to the police station in North Delhi's Burari area and underwent a medical examination. Sakshi said, "I was in Burari and it was difficult to contact other wrestlers. Hope everyone is fine. From here we will again go to Jantar Mantar and our fight will continue till justice is served."
