Air India has suspended the licence of a pilot who invited a lady friend into the cockpit during a Dubai to Delhi flight.

The incident, which took place last month, resulted in a three-month suspension of the pilot's licence and a fine of Rs 30 lakh levied on the airline by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). The DGCA found the pilot guilty of violating safety norms by allowing an unauthorised person to enter the cockpit during a flight. The airline was also found to have failed in its responsibility to prevent such incidents from occurring.
