Country is creating new systems for the modern needs of the 21st century: PM Modi

At the All India Education Union convention in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Friday that our education system is changing and teachers and children are also changing. How we move forward in this transition period is important. During this, PM Modi said that today India is creating new systems according to the modern needs of the 21st century. The 'New National Education Policy' has been made keeping this in mind. For so many years we were giving only book knowledge to our children in the name of education in schools. The 'New National Education Policy' is changing that old irrelevant system.

PM Modi said that you would think that you are teaching maths, science, or any other subject, but the student is not learning only that subject from you. He is also learning how to keep his word. He is also learning from you qualities like being patient and helping others.

The Prime Minister said that the curiosity and inquisitiveness of today's generation of students has brought a new challenge. These students are full of confidence, they are fearless. His nature challenges the teacher to break out of the conventional methods of education.

He said that after becoming the Prime Minister, my first foreign trip was to Bhutan and the senior of the Bhutan royal family told me with pride that all the people of my generation who are in Bhutan were taught by the teachers of India. Similarly, when I went to Saudi Arabia, the king there told me that I love you very much because my teacher in childhood was from your country… from your Gujarat.
