Hollywood writers will strike from today due to streaming interruption, many TV shows will be closed

More than 11,000 members of the Writers Guild of America (WGA) have agreed to go on strike on Tuesday morning. This will be the first time since 2007 that many Hollywood writers will go on strike. Due to this, the production of many television shows can be stopped immediately. Not only this but there may also be a delay in starting new Hollywood shows.

In fact, thousands of Hollywood TV and film writers have decided to go on strike on Tuesday after negotiations with major studios remained unresolved. Their union said on Monday, "Negotiations with the studios and streamers on pay and other terms ended without any agreement."

A statement from the union leadership said, "While we negotiated with the intent of striking a fair deal...the studio's response to our offers has been grossly inadequate, given the writers' existential crisis."

They have closed the door on their labour force and opened the door to writing as a completely independent profession. No such deal could ever be contemplated by this membership.

Let us tell you that the members of the Writers Guild of America union will be on strike till 3 am on Tuesday. Hours before the strike deadline, the union said it was ready to improve its offer late on Monday night but was not ready to meet some of the union's demands.
