For some time now, there has been speculation that Pakistan's army is preparing to take action against Imran. Recently, Pakistan's Defense Minister Khwaja Asif has also expressed this possibility.
It was discussed for some time that the Pakistani government was preparing to take strict action against Imran. Imran himself has been apprehensive some time back that Pakistan Army chief Asim Munir does not like him and is plotting against him. Recently, Asif expressed the possibility that Imran may be prosecuted in the Pakistan Army court in the coming times.
Imran has escaped from the Supreme Court of Pakistan and the Islamabad High Court, but if a case is filed against him in the Pakistani Army Court, then it may be difficult for him to escape. Imran can get strict punishment in the Pakistani army court, in which even the possibility of a death sentence cannot be ruled out.
Imran had a chance to leave Pakistan and go to a safe place some time ago. Imran refused to do so. Now they don't even have that option left. A few days ago, more than 80 members of his party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), including Imran, have been put on the no-fly list. Imran's wife Bushra Bibi has also been put on the no-fly list. In such a situation, now Imran cannot leave Pakistan.
