Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has not been invited to the G20 leaders' dinner to be held on September 9. This dinner will be hosted by President Draupadi Murmu. After Rahul Gandhi, now senior Congress leader P Chidambaram said – This can happen only where there is no democracy.

Chidambaram said- I have received information through media that Congress Party President and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge has not been invited to the leaders' dinner organized by the President at G20. Right now there is no such situation where democracy and opposition will cease to exist.
Meanwhile, Mallikarjun Kharge reacted to the President not inviting him to the dinner party. Congress President said- They (Centre) should not do low level politics. This is not good.
Rahul criticized the government in Brussels
On September 8, Rahul Gandhi, while addressing a press conference in Brussels, had criticized the central government for not inviting Kharge. Rahul had said that he has decided not to invite the leader of the opposition. This tells you something.

170 guests invited for dinner
President Draupadi Murmu has hosted a dinner party on the first day of the G20 summit on Saturday. The dinner will be held in a hall of Bharat Mandapam. Apart from heads of state and delegates from around the world, 170 people from India and abroad including Chief Ministers, Union and State Ministers of all the states of India have been invited to the dinner.
Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and his wife Sudesh Dhankhar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also attend this dinner party. Apart from this, former President Ramnath Kovind, former Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and HD Deve Gowda will also be included.
Modi cabinet ministers Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari, Nirmala Sitharaman, Narendra Singh Tomar, S Jaishankar, Arjun Munda, Smriti Irani, Piyush Goyal, Dharmendra Pradhan and Pralhad Joshi have also been invited.

Chief Ministers of all the states have also been invited for the dinner party. Arvind Kejriwal, Nitish Kumar, Bhupesh Baghel, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, Pema Khandu, Himanta Biswa Sarma, Pramod Sawant, Eknath Shinde, N Biren Singh, Bhupendra Patel, Manohar Lal Khattar have also received invitation.
Apart from these, Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, Hemant Soren, Siddaramaiah, Pinarayi Vijayan, Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Conrad Sangma, Zoramthanga, Nephew Rio, Naveen Patnaik, Rangaswami, Bhagwant Singh Mann, Ashok Gehlot, PS Golai, MK Stalin, K. India took over the presidency of G20 on December 1 last year. Nearly 200 G20-related meetings were held in 60 cities across the country. The 18th G20 Summit in New Delhi is the culmination of all G20 processes and meetings held throughout the year.
