Tamil Nadu: Car and truck collision in Madurai, 4 people died

A horrific road accident took place in Madurai district of Tamil Nadu. Four people have died tragically in this accident in Madurai. Giving information about the incident, Madurai SP Siva Prasad said that there was a massive collision between a car and a container truck near Thirumangalam in the district. Four people lost their lives in this accident. As soon as the information about the accident was received, the police reached the spot and took the dead body into custody, and sent it for postmortem. Police have registered the case and started further investigation.

According to sources, the car and the container lorry were traveling on the National Highway near Thirumangalam in the early hours of Monday when suddenly the container lorry collided. Both the truck and the car were badly damaged in the collision. Four people, including the car rider and the container truck driver, died on the spot. Further investigation is underway.

In another incident in Madurai district, a toll plaza worker died after being hit by a speeding truck on Sunday. The incident took place at Masthanpatti toll plaza in Madurai. Satish Kumar, who lost his life in this accident, was a resident of Sakhimangalam in Madurai district.

Earlier on Saturday morning, four people were killed when their car fell into a roadside ditch near Veppur in Cuddalore district. Police said the accident took place on the Trichy-Chennai National Highway.
